WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Authorities have arrested a man in connection with an attempted murder in West Monroe.

The West Monroe Police Department says on the morning of Sept. 19, 2020, they responded to a shooting around the 200 block of Morris Avenue. There, they found the victim on the front porch of a home. Police say he had been shot and was bleeding from his face. He was transported to a local hospital before being air-lifted to Ochsner LSU Shreveport.

Investigators say the shooting was captured on video. They say the video showed the suspect drive up in a gold Lincoln Town Car and fire several shots at the victim before driving off.

Video captured a partial tag and the suspect was identified as Michael Dontae Turner, 28.

On Sept. 21, police located Turner on South 4th Street in Monroe. Police say he admitted to shooting the victim multiple times.
