Correction: An earlier version of this story linked these officers to the excessive force complaint filed by Timothy Williams. They are not connected.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Monroe Civil Service Board placed four officers with the Monroe Police Department on administrative leave, including former interim Chief Reginald Brown.

The board didn’t share the details surrounding the decision but did share that the request was made by current interim Police Chief Eugene Ellis.

The civil service board anticipates the officers will be on leave through October. The board’s actions are not connected to Timothy Williams' excessive force case, as earlier reported.

The officers were identified as Tim Crum, Robert Sims, Timothy Antley, and Reginald Brown.
