Fifth person facing charge in connection with Ouachita man’s 2018 disappearance

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities say a fifth person is facing a charge in connection with the 2018 disappearance of a Ouachita Parish man.

According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Linzi Phillips is accused of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder in the case of Donald Atkins.

Atkins was last seen in September of 2018. Four people are facing second-degree murder charges in connection with his disappearance, OPSO says. Three have already been arrested. They are identified as Joseph Hendricks, Thomas Davis and Paige Williams.

Authorities are still looking for Daniel Barrett. He lives in the West Monroe area and also frequents the Prairie Road area in Monroe. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Barrett is asked to contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-329-1200.
