MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Monroe Police Department has arrested an officer in connection to an alleged excessive force incident from April.

According to the arrest records, 42-year-old Jared P. Desadier is accused of malfeasance in office and second-degree battery.

Timothy Williams filed an excessive force complaint in June after he says several Monroe police officers kicked and punched him while under arrest.

MPD’s investigation also led to three other officers being placed on administrative leave.

As of now, the investigation has not shown if they were directly involved with using excessive force.

Bond for Desadier is set at $30,000.
