MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Monroe City School system is seeking parent and faculty input as the 2020-2021 school year approaches.

The survey is asking for thoughts on how to approach the new year as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

A message on their website says, “We value and depend upon the input of the families and employees who comprise Monroe City Schools to finalize plans for 2020-21. To that end, we encourage families to complete the family survey and employees to complete the employee survey. We will continue to communicate our district’s response via the COVID-19 webpage. Please check it frequently.

“Across Monroe throughout the spring and summer, messages of encouragement speak to the strength of this community. Monroe City Schools, serving approximately 8000 students and employing 1300 adults, strives to help keep Monroe a safe, healthy, and equitable city for every inhabitant. Thank you for your support in that goal.”

Parents and guardians can click here to take the survey.

The employee survey can be found here.

The survey is open through July 17, 2020.
