Neville High School to name Mickey McCarty new principal, Jeff Tannehill new football head coach

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Mickey McCarty is expected to be named the new principal of Neville High School on Monday according to Sports Director Aaron Dietrich. McCarty began coaching the Tigers in 2002 leading them to 197 wins and four state titles.

Jeff Tannehill, who coached under McCarty, is expected to be named the new head coach of the Neville football team Monday. Tannehill has been an assistant coach at Neville since 2018 and during 2005-2012.

The Neville alumnus was the head coach at St. Frederick for 5 years earning the Warriors a state championship appearance, and spent four years at LaSalle producing an undefeated regular season in 2003.
