Couple arrested after Madison Parish mother, daughter shot at inside home

MADISON PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Two people have been arrested in Texas tonight in connection to a shooting in Madison Parish.

Deputies say they received a call around 8 a.m. that Kenya Gray and her daughter were shot at after an argument escalated between family members at her home.

Robert Gray allegedly fired shots through the front door. A bullet hit Kenya in the abdomen as she ran and her daughter ran into the back of the house.

Robert, and his wife Latoya Richardson Gray, fled to Texas where they were caught by Arlington Police.

Robert faces two counts of attempted second degree murder and Latoya faces two counts of principal to attempted second degree murder.

The two are currently awaiting extradition back to Louisiana.

Deputies say more arrests are pending.

Deputies say Kenya is in stable condition.
