Dr. Roberts, Jr., is a native of Monroe, Louisiana. He completed undergraduate school at the University of West Florida and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where he was president of his class in his junior and senior years. He served in the Naval Dental Corps from 1981-85. Dr. Roberts, Jr. has four sons: Jesse, Jason, Jeremy, and Jamie. Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Rexie. He also enjoys raquetball and is an avid hunter.
