UPDATE: Suspect in custody after 3 hour standoff

UPDATE:

OPSO has the standoff suspect in custody after more than three hours of negotiations.

Larry Dewayne Hill, 44, is being charged with one count of aggravated assault after threatening a Lampkins employee with a hand gun. He then locked himself in his trailer behind the Lampkin's Convenience Store.

OPSO deputies worked to get Hill out of his home, but he refused until 2 p.m. when he finally came outside.

He's in custody currently charged with aggravated assault and additional charges are pending.

 

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - At a north Monroe trailer park, a man has locked himself inside his home threatening to harm himself.

Ouachita Parish deputies responded to a call around 11 a.m. where a resident and property owner were in an argument. When deputies arrived, the man had locked himself inside his trailer and is refusing to come out.

He has made threats to harm himself, but no one else is inside the residence. OPSO is outside the home attempting to calm the man down and get him to come out.
