Fight between friends ends with arrest

UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News & UPSO) - A fight between friends over the weekend ended with one being charged with two felony counts by Union Parish sheriff’s deputies.

Lindsay Jenkins Hadder, 27, of Arthur McDaniel Road., Downsville, was booked Sunday into the parish detention center charged with second-degree battery and simple kidnapping. She was also booked on two misdemeanor counts of simple battery. Her total bond was set at $30,100.

The incident happened Friday after Hadder and one of the victims returned from having lunch in Ruston, according to deputies. Deputies received a disturbance complaint from Hadder’s address and when they arrived they found Hadder with numerous scratches. Hadder told deputies at least five different stories about how she was beaten up by her friends. Deputies said the suspect had apparently taken a controlled dangerous substance because her eyes were glassed over and her speech slurred.

Deputies then made contact with a victim who told a completely different story and stating that Hadder had beaten a victim severely enough to be taken to Lincoln General Hospital. During all the confrontations, deputies said the suspect left in her car along with a victim’s children resulting in the simple kidnapping charge.

Warrants were issued for Hadder’s arrest on Saturday and she was arrested at her residence Sunday.
