UPDATE: Name released in Morehouse train fatality

UPDATE: The Morehouse Parish Sheriff has released the name of the man killed in a train accident over the weekend. The sheriff says 19-year-old Bennie Ray Clary of Monroe was killed when he was struck by a train.

BASTROP, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office is releasing new information about an unidentified man killed by a train this morning.While examining the body of the young man, a tattoo was discovered on his chest. It's unclear, but reads "Donnie" or "Bonnie."

The black male is though to be between 18 and 24 years old.

BASTROP, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Morehouse Sheriff Mike Tubbs says his department needs the public’s assistance identifying a man hit by a train on Sunday morning.

Tubbs says Union Pacific employees called his department around 6:30 this morning to report the train had stuck an individual, on the tracks, just north of Mer Rouge.  

He says when sheriff deputies arrived the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tubbs says the individual is a black man probably between the ages of 18-24.
