Miss Louisiana pageant to be next week in Monroe

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Miss Louisiana Organization has released it's schedule of events for the 2014 Miss Louisiana Pageant.

The 32 contestant vying for the crown will move in to their "pageant week" homes on the campus of ULM Sunday, June 22, and have a non-stop schedule all week long.

Preliminary competition starts Thursday, June 26, at 7:30 PM at the Monroe Civic Center.

Friday night at 7:30 PM starts the second round of preliminary competition.

A new Miss Louisiana will be crowned Saturday, June 28. The pageant starts at 8 PM, and will air live on KNOE.

The preliminary competition groups are as follows:
