Monroe reaches agreement with DOTD

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - There are a lot of traffic signals around Monroe that need repair, but it may cost the city a pretty penny.

The city will provide maintenance for all traffic signals, including state highways.

The city has reached an agreement with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to service signal lights.

In return, the DOTD will pay the city for the services.

The agreement will begin on July 1st and end in June of next year.

This agreement is only for traffic signals within city limits.
