UPDATE:

SPEARSVILLE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - An early morning house fire on Pilgrims Rest Church Road in Union Parish has left two children in critical condition.

Union Parish Sheriff Deputies say six children and an adult were inside a mobile home when the fire started around 4 a.m.

State Fire Marshal Butch Browning says two boys were trapped inside and family members pulled them out of the house.

He says the two children were airlifted to an LSU hospital in Shreveport, where they remain in critical condition at this time.

Browning says the fire started in living room and they do not believe the fire is suspicious. He says they are trying to rule out the possibilities of an air conditioning unit, discarded cigarettes, or burning candles starting the fire.
