Mobile home fire leaves one dead

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Officials have identified a woman who died in a fire on Thursday.

Charlotte Gill died in a fire that took place at a mobile home around 9:30 PM last night on Spell Street.

Her body has been sent to Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

ORIGINAL STORY:

OUACHITA PARISH (KNOE 8 News) - An overnight mobile home fire has left one person dead. The fire happened around 9:30pm last night at 1020 Spell Street in West Monroe.

Authorities will not release the name of the person killed in the fire until family has been notified. Officials did tell KNOE that it was a female in her 50's. She was the only person in the home at time of the fire.

According to the state fire marshal it took 3 fire trucks and 11 fire fighters to put it out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
