TALLULAH, La. (KNOE 8 News)- Tallulah is being cleaned by youth who want's their town to be freshened up by basically picking up.

Students that have been in school for the past nine months Summer means relaxation, not the case in Tallulah.

From ages 12 to 22, volunteers are making it a part of their Summer to clean up Tallulah and make sure it stays clean.
Director of Parks and Recreation, Carlos Ford lead the volunteers everyday to areas in need of a little "TLC."

Through the "clean up" Tallulah effort Carlos hopes to instill pride, respect,  and most importantly character in these volunteers.

The volunteers are hoping to have a little fun in the heat. They're planning a trip to Blue Bayou in Baton Rouge later this Summer. To help fund the trip, they're having a car wash at the AAaron'son Dabney St. in Tallulah this Saturday.

They'll be there from 7:30 in the morning until four that afternoon.
