LEAP scores released

Posted: Updated:
MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Test scores for Louisiana public school students are out. Students’ scores fall into one of five categories: Advanced, Mastery, Basic, Approaching Basic and Unsatisfactory.

Officials say more than 60 percent scored at least at the Basic level this year. There was also an increase in the percentage of students who scored at the Mastery level in English in math. And the overall percentage is the same as last year, but officials note the tests are becoming more challenging.
