Man arrested in deaths of 2 in Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - Bossier City police say a man arrested in Bogalusa is a suspect in the killing of two women last weekend.

Police say 26-year-old Brandan Santrell Butler of Bossier City was taken into custody shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday by Washington Parish authorities in Bogalusa. He was arrested without incident on a warrant from Bossier City Police charging him with two counts of first-degree murder.

Victims in the case were 24-year-old Jacqueline Darlene Beadle and 26-year-old Karyl Ann Cox. They were shot to death at their home. Police were called to the residence at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Mother's Day after Jacqueline Beadle's mother went to the home and found the two women inside.
