Police search for suspects in Erin Street shooting

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police investigate early morning shooting that sent two to the hospital. 

Around 2:00 Sunday morning, Monroe Police responded to a reported shooting on the 1600 block of Erin Street.
An investigation revealed that a group of male subjects were walking in the area of Shadow Oaks Apartments, when unknown suspect(s) began firing 6-8 gunshots towards them.

Two of the male subjects were struck by these gunshots, one in the lower right leg and the other in the lower left leg. Neither wound was described as life threatening. Both were transported to a local hospital where they were treated and released.

As of this time there are no suspects or suspect information and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
