Wine ice cream bill shot down

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - You'll you have to satisfy your wine cravings and your sweet tooth separately at least for now.

A bill that would have allowed the sale of wine-infused ice cream failed in the house yesterday with a 46-to-44 vote against it.

Monroe representative Marcus Hunter proposed the bill.

Had it passed, the bill would have allowed ice cream and other sweets with an alcoholic content of more than ten percent to be sold in the state.
