Driver airlifted after single-vehicle crash

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Saturday night, single vehicle crash sends the driver to LSU-Shreveport Hospital.

It all happened on 3900 block of Bon Aire Drive, when a car heading south lost control. The vehicle struck a guide wire then a tree causing the vehicle to burst into flames. 

The driver was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders, and transported by AMR to Brown Stadium were he was picked up by Pafford Air and flown to Shreveport for his injuries.

Traffic investigators were called, and the case is still ongoing.
