Peru For Less Launches Peru Travel Aid To Help Indigenous Communities Benefit From Tourism

Peru For Less has created an initiative in partnership with non-profit Musqoy to help bring the benefits of tourism to indigenous people still in need of economic development.

Peru is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South America, and people from all around the world flock to see Machu Picchu, the Andes and the Amazon. However, most of the people in Peru belong to indigenous tribes that have not felt the full benefit of tourism in the same way the major cities have. Peru For less donates money from Peru tours to support Mosqoy’s work offering opportunities for economic development and promoting traditional indigenous cultures.

The small town of Kancha Kancha in the Sacred Valley recently received hot chocolate, toys and no small amount of holiday cheer from the Peru for Less team and Mosqoy volunteers, memoirs of which can be found on the Peru For Less website or their charitable arm’s official presence, Peru Travel Aid.
