UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Union Parish couple was charged over the weekend on drug-related charges and their 15-year-old daughter was cited for interference.

Toneka Fonten Johnikin, 37, and Marcus Fitzgerald Caster, 41, both of East Jackson Street in Farmerville, were booked Sunday into the parish detention center for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, obstruction of justice, illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in presence of minors and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bonds were set at $24,350.

Also inside the house was a 15-year-old girl who started screaming and throwing items at deputies when she realized her parents were being arrested. She was issued summons for resisting an officer by force and violence and interfering with an investigation.

Johnikin had given deputies permission to search the house. The search turned up two plastic bags of suspected marijuana containing 23.5 grams. Also found were a number of marijuana seeds and digital scales.

Marijuana blunts also were found in several different places including near a computer where Caster was seated when deputies entered. They said he smelled of burnt marijuana.
