MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police are looking for suspect in a shooting outside a Monroe recreation club.

Monday night at about 7:00 PM Monroe Police responded to a reported shooting that happened at the Burg Jones Recreation Center located on Burg Jones Lane.  An investigation revealed that several subjects were involved in a dispute inside the center when staff ordered several of the subjects to leave the property due to the dispute.

A short time later, other subjects who had been involved in the original dispute but had not been ordered off the property by staff members, left the center.  Upon entering the parking lot, several gunshots were fired at this group.

A 12 year old male was struck in the leg by what is believed to be a ricochet bullet and did not penetrate the skin.  This juvenile was treated at a local hospital for the minor, non life threatening injury and released.
