RUSTON, La. (AP) - The formal investiture of Leslie K. Guice as the 14th president of Louisiana Tech University takes place this week in Ruston.

The ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Center for the Performing Arts. University of Louisiana System President Sandra Woodley will execute the investiture of office.

Woodley and University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors Chairman E. Gerald Hebert will present the presidential medallion to Guice.

Guice assumed the presidency of Louisiana Tech on July 1. He succeeded Daniel D. Reneau, who had led the university for 26 years and retired as the longest-tenured president in the history of the institution.
