Monroe Police investigating South 3rd incident

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - On Monday at approximately 11:30 PM, Monroe Police responded to person struck by a motor vehicle call in the 1400 block of S. 3rd St.

The investigation revealed that Shirley Williams, also known as, Angie Hill, of Monroe, deliberately drove her vehicle at a group of people during a dispute and struck one of the subjects.

The victim suffered a broken leg and was transported to a local hospital by AMR where he is being treated for the injury.

Williams was arrested and booked at Ouachita Correctional Center on felony charges.

Monroe Police are still investigating this case and are trying to determine the motive for the ongoing dispute.
