Arrest made in Baker shooting that killed 3 teens

BAKER, LA (KNOE 8 News/WAFB) - Police have made an arrest in an East Baton Rouge Parish shooting that killed three teens.

According to CBS affiliate WAFB, A 16-year-old black male has been arrested and booked into the EBR Juvenile Detention Center on 3 counts of 1st Degree murder, 1 count of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, and 1 count of Illegal Use of a Firearm.

Police have not released the suspect's identity.

A total of four teens were shot, and three of those died after a shooting that happened Friday, March 28, during a private birthday party at the Baker Civic Center.

15-year-old Marcell Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional teens were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Two males, 15-year-old Kendal Dorsey and 18-year-old Diontrey Claiborne, died at the hospital. A 19-year-old is currently recovering in the hospital.

Officials say the incident is still under investigation.
