Monroe Police searching for shooting suspect

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Detectives confirmed information that identified Henry J. Hopkins, of Monroe, as the shooting suspect from the 4300 block of Barlow on March 24, 2014.

Police say witnesses identified Hopkins as the person shooting a handgun that struck two subjects in a vehicle during a dispute between Hopkins and one of the occupants of the vehicle.

Monroe Detectives are seeking arrest warrants for Attempted Second Degree Homicide and charges are pending.

Both victims in this case are recovering from their injuries. One of the injuries was described as extremely minor.

The other victim's condition has been upgraded from critical to serious and has shown improvement.
