Mrs. Sheetal Ansal, Trustee, Ansal University, Gurgaon was felicitated for her contribution to the field of education by the Indian Council for UN Relations at the Fortis La Femme International Women’s Day Awards 2014 organised in Delhi where women from different fields of life were recognised for their commendable efforts. Hon’ble Dr. Najma Heptulla, Former Deputy Chairperson, Rajya Sabha who was the Chief Guest on the occasion presented her with the award. Other Guests of Honour were Padma Vibhushan Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Mrs. Kiran M-Kerpelman, Director, UNIC, Mrs. Sara Pilot and special invitee Mrs. Aruna Oswal.

Mrs. Sheetal Ansal’s zeal and drive in building of Infrastructure for education is remarkable. She is the driving force behind the phenomenal success of the Ansal Institute of Technology established in 2005 and later the Ansal University, Gurgaon established in 2012. The Ansal University, Gurgaon is dedicated to providing an advanced quality of education with a futuristic approach for students drawn from around the world. Today, the Ansal University has emerged as a pride of professionals especially in architecture. One of its college — Sushant School of Architecture — has become the destination for all budding architects and is recognized as an Ivy League of architecture. Besides being an educationist, Mrs. Sheetal Ansal is also an entrepreneur, spiritualist, humanist and a connoisseur. She is the founder member and the former chairperson of the Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO). Apart from being involved with the Young FICCI Ladies Organization, Sheetal has successfully spearheaded the concept of malls in the country and is also the Editor of the Mall Times, India’s leading magazine dealing with the rapidly expanding mall culture in India. She is also the founder spouse member of The Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a premier, peer-to-peer, global community, network and resource for entrepreneurs, comprising more than 5,000 successful young business owners under the age of 40.

Police say two black males entered the store, located at 4320 Desaird Street, around 3:15 Friday morning. They say the suspects robbed the store at gun point and police were able to able to get a photo of one suspect. That suspect is described as a younger black male over six feet and it appears he is wearing a Neville sweatshirt. He is considered armed and dangerous.
