UPDATE: Suspect threatens to blow up bus

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - KNOE 8 News has learned that police crews are still investigating the scene at the Greyhound Station in Monroe.

Initially, police say they were working a suspicious package story, but a man has now been arrested after making a threat to blow up a bus at the terminal.

A Greyhound bus arrived from New York with 30 passengers Thursday morning.

The station called Monroe Police after they say a man was burning incense and had locked himself in a bathroom.

When police arrived at the scene, police asked the man to come out of the bathroom.  He then made the threat about the bus.

Monroe Police Department's bomb squad was called in to investigate the threat.

The man has been arrested in connection with the threat.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - KNOE 8 News has confirmed that the Monroe Police is working a suspicious package case at the Greyhound Station in Monroe.

The station is attached to a Shell Gas station at the corner of Louisville and Desiard.
