Tallulah getting ready for April 5th election

TALLULAH, La. (KNOE 8 News)- On the Tallulah ballot are Mayor, Chief of Police and one City Council seat.

In the Mayors race, incumbent Eddie Beckwith is seeking re-election but four other candidates want his job. Arthur Lee, Paxton Branch, John Reed and former Mayor Adell Williams are his challengers.

For Chief of Police, James Vaughn is the incumbent Buster McCoy, Nathan Clark, jr and Donnell

Rose are all running to unseat the top cop.

In the city council race, Council Woman Gloria Hayden is running against Keary Grayson for the District 5 seat.

Another candidate forum will be held Mar. 20. at 5:30 at the Tallulah Community Center. Early voting begins march 22nd and election day is on April 5th.
