Monroe Police investigating home invasion

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police responded to a reported Home Invasion Robbery that was reported in the 600 Block of Stubbs Ave at approximately 12:30 AM on Friday.

The investigation revealed that two male residents were watching television when two unknown subject knocked on the door.

One of the residents looked through a window and saw two subjects, one of whom was wearing a ski mask. The two residents retreated to a back bedroom. The two suspects reportedly "kicked open" the front door and entered the living room and fired two shots from a handgun at the residents. One of the residents returned one shot from a handgun towards the suspects.

The suspects fled the area on foot running west bound on Stubbs Ave. No one was injured during the incident.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, mid 20's, 5'06"-5'08", 135 lbs, light complexion, wearing a white T-shirt, red and white jacket, gold teeth, with an unknown tattoo or dark mark under one of his eyes.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6'00", 160-180 lbs, muscular build, wearing a black jacket with a hood, and a camouflage ski mask.

Detectives are continuing the investigation. Nothing was taken during the incident.
