1 of 2 arrested in LaPlace robbery

LAPLACE, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Deputies in St. John the Baptist Parish have arrested one suspect and are seeking another in Tuesday's deadly armed robbery at the LaPlace Feed & Supply Co.

In a press release posted on the sheriff's website, 22-year-old Dracier Dewey, of Reserve, was arrested Wednesday in the armed robbery and homicide that left Steve Finckbeiner dead and Finckbeiner's wife, Connie, wounded.

Dewey was booked with principal to armed robbery, principal to first-degree murder and principal to attempted first-degree murder. His bond has not been set.

Detectives say an arrest warrant has been issued for 22-year-old Charles Mcquarter III., also of Reserve. They consider he armed and dangerous

It was unclear whether Dewey has an attorney.
