BOSSIER CITY, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - A computer services company plans to open a new technology center in Bossier City, creating 800 new, high-skill jobs in northwest Louisiana.

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu announced Tuesday that Computer Science Corporation is locating its Integrated Technology Center in the region.

The center will be established at the same research park as the Cyber Innovation Center, a technology research and development corporation which is located next to Barksdale Air Force base and collaborates with Louisiana Tech University.

As chair of a homeland security budget subcommittee, Landrieu says she helped steer money to the work that the Virginia-based Computer Science Corporation will be doing at the Cyber Innovation Center.
