Chris Nixon denied bond

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Chris Nixon has been denied bond in his production of child pornography case.

Nixon, who had previously waived his right to a detention hearing, asked a judge for home based detention on Tuesday.  In the hearing, defense attorney Adam Huddleston, asked the judge to allow for Nixon to be released to his life partner.

Nixon's partner said that he was fired from his job, but had an interview for a new job in Shreveport.

The judge had concerns about the environment that Nixon would be released to.

Prosecutors argued that Nixon was a flight risk.  Due to the new information in the case, the judge ruled that Nixon would remain behind bars until his trial.
