Monroe Police parade incident report

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police have released the following information regarding incidents during or directly after the Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras parade.

A total of seven children were reported lost or separated from their families. All were returned, three of those on-scene, the other children were brought back to the police station where they were reunited with their families.

Monroe Police made one drunk and disorderly arrest along the parade route.

Police also worked a few parade traffic-related accidents, only one of which resulted in a moderate injury.

Police continue to monitored heavy, backed up traffic, and ask drivers to remember to drive slow and be patient on the road.
