McHenry man faces arson charges

WIGGINS, Miss. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - A 28-year-old McHenry man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of felony woods arson.

The Hattiesburg American reports Hal B. Broadus was charged with three separate woods fires, two in Stone County and one in Harrison County, that burned approximately 30 acres and threatened several homes.

If convicted, Broadus faces a 1-2 year state penitentiary sentence and/or a $200-$1,000 fine.

It was unclear whether Broadus has an attorney.
