Duck Commander 500 coming to Texas Motor Speedway

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Al Robertson told KNOE 8 News that they were excited about the upcoming partnership with NASCAR.

"We are thrilled to team with NASCAR by being the Title Sponsor for the Duck Commander 500 in April. The women of Duck Commander will also be signing their newly released book (April 1st) at the race." Robertson continued, "We are also planning on unveiling a new product from Uncle Si that people will love. NASCAR fans and Duck Commander fans are synonymous and we are thrilled about this partnership."

FORT WORTH, Texas (KNOE 8 News/AP) - The NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas is going to the ducks this spring.

Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday announced a multiyear title sponsorship agreement for its spring race with Duck Commander, the brand of best-selling duck calls and Robertson family-owned company featured on the A&E show "Duck Dynasty." The deal is for the spring race at the track.

The April 6 race will be known as the Duck Commander 500.

It is a three-year deal with a renewable option for an additional three years. Financial terms weren't revealed.

TMS President Eddie Gossage says it's a unique sponsorship in professional sports, coming with celebrity spokespeople who are followed by millions of people each week.
