LAKE CHARLES, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Two Sulphur men who pleaded guilty in November to conspiring to counterfeit money were sentenced to prison terms in federal court.

U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley said 35-year-old Shaun Daigle received a 41-month sentence, and 45-year-old Patrick Murray received a 24-month sentence on Wednesday. Additionally, the men must serve two years of supervised release.

From May 1 to May 25, Finley said Daigle and Murray conspired to manufacture and distribute counterfeit U.S. currency in Sulphur, Lake Charles and Westlake.
