LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Freezing rain accumulated on trees, power lines and roads in central and north Arkansas, causing traffic problems and electricity outages Tuesday as yet another wintery weather system made its way across the state.

Forecasters held out hope that temperatures would rise above freezing late Tuesday afternoon and reduce the impact of the ice storm.

Entergy Arkansas' online outage map showed more than 18,000 customers were without electricity at noon Tuesday. About 5,000 were out in Garland County, with between 1,000 and 2,000 out in Faulkner, Mississippi, Montgomery, Pulaski and Saline counties.

First Electric Cooperative had 11,000 customers out, with the greatest concentration around Perryville.

Search crews looking for an Arkansas Forestry Commission pilot missing since Friday hoped for a break in the weather so they could resume work.
