Dozens remember teen killed in accidental shooting

RICHWOOD, La. (KNOE 8 News)-Nearly 100 candles were lit Wednesday night in memory of the 18-year-old Quintarius brown.

But after speaking with family members there is still one question on their mind, what happened that night.

"I just know it was really unbelievable that this was happening to him because I know who he is I know how he is its just un believable" says father Aaron brown.

Browns father, along with many others have a hard time believing the events of Saturday night.

Police say Quintarius Brown was shot in the head near Park view apartments around 9:30 that night.

Witnesses told investigators that Brown was mishandling the gun, when it went off.

The reports make closure difficult for those closest to him.

"Explain what actually happen because he didn't do it to himself" says brother Altonio Brown.

The same thoughts were echoed by his father.

Now the family has set up a donation fund for Browns funeral services. You can go to any Chase bank and donate into the account of his father Aaron Brown.

And his funeral is set for next Wednesday at Luden Chapel Baptist Church.
