Posted: Updated:

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The 32nd Annual Ag Expo is taking place inside the West Monroe Ike Hamilton Expo Center. As Nolan Crane shows us more than 150 vendors have shown up and set up booths with the latest agricultural equipment on display.

Tractors for sale and tractors in action are just some of the heavy duty agricultural and farming equipment vendors from across the country came to West Monroe to show off.

"We have exhibitors here from Minnesota, from Indiana, Iowa, from Kansas, from Florida, from places in the east. We serve all segments of agriculture," said Sandy Lyons.

Majority of the people setting up their booths return every year because of the results they have from displaying their items.

"I've been coming to this Ag Expo for about five years.

It's done real well for me so I keep coming back," said Tommy Waldrop.

"We've been coming to the Ag Expo for about six or seven years and thousands of people visit our booth.

More than 8,000 people are expected to walk through these doors and although there is equipment to plant seeds in the ground, business owners are successful by planting seeds in people's heads that they need what they see.

"We sell a few at the show, but mainly people later this year think about a lawn mower will think about us," said Waldrop.

Even if you don't want to window shop you can still have fun at the Ag Expo regardless your age because there is an animal farm will pigs and cows and baby chickens.

If you want to attend the Ag Expo it is not free. Tickets are $7 a person, but kids under the age of 6 are free.

The Ag Expo is open Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
