MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News)- Adult students wanting to pursue a high school diploma are preparing for a high school equivalency test.

When the GED became an online only test January 1, Louisiana stopped offering it.

The state has introduced the Hi-SET, the high school equivalency test.

Students will be able to take the test with pencil and paper or on the computer.

The first Hi-SET will be given on January 22, and will be given every Wednesday after at Louisiana Delta Community College's East-Gate campus on Louisville Avenue
