GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Ruston man dies after losing control of his vehicle and hitting three homes early Sunday morning.

Around 2 am, Grambling Police were called to a home on Highway 149, where a vehicle was jammed against the house.

Police say Keith Young, Junior, 30, was driving southbound on the highway when he lost control of his Chevy Tahoe. He drove off the road striking a tree, a CenterPoint gas meter, and three homes causing major property damage.

Young was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering severe head and upper body injuries. Crews used the jaws of life to remove him from the vehicle.

Police say Young was not wearing a seatbelt and was traveling very fast when he lost control and over corrected. The vehicle overturned multiple times, traveling over 500 feet from the highway.

Alcohol was discovered inside the vehicle and is possibly a factor, however toxicology results are pending.
