Two arrested for burglary, connected to Cory Bahr case

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Saturday evening Monroe Police arrested two women connected to several burglaries.

Verlerica Dykes and Derkiea Wilkerson, both of Monroe are booked for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things involving investigations at the River and Rail Restaurant and Cornerbar in Monroe.

Patrol officers made contact with the subjects during the stop of a vehicle believed to be involved in burglaries.  Stolen property, narcotics, and weapons were recovered.

A search of Dykes residence led to the recovery of stolen items from the vehicle burglary of Cotton Chef Cory Bahr. The investigation is ongoing.
