Cold weather effecting homes and automobiles

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News)- It's cold outside but at Moore Patron good year they are staying pretty warm with all the work the cold weather is producing.

The Ark-La-Miss is experiencing some drastic cold weather that could play a part in how vehicles are running.

Cars are being serviced for more than just low tire pressure

Many others are experiencing bigger problems such as radiators freezing and batteries dying.

"We have done a lot of battery checks that also can be affected by cold weather. Especially on cold mornings the battery life can affect the way the vehicle starts," Steven Patron of Moore Patron Goodyear said.

Homeowners that do not have frozen pipes are urged to take some time out this evening to secure those pipes for a colder night.
