MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A suspected shoplifter met his match Tuesday when he ran into the wrong delivery man.

It happened at 10:30 Tuesday morning at the Walmart on Louisville Avenue in Monroe. Police say 39-year-old Brandon Allbritton stole about $300 in merchandise. Police say a chase ensued and Allbritton ran across Louisville Avenue and ended up at the Aaron's rental store. That's where the suspect encountered Marvin Cook.

Cook is a delivery driver for Aaron's. Aaron's manager tells KNOE 8 News that Allbritton attempted to get into Cook's truck, but Cook pushed him off and said, "you are not getting in my truck." Allbritton stumbled and then ran behind the building where police arrested him.

Allbritton is facing one count of shoplifting, damage to property, and resisting by flight. No one was injured in this incident. Allbritton is accused of stealing approximately $300 worth of assorted merchandise. Allbritton was booked at OCC.
