Two men injured in Monroe shooting Friday

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police are investigating a shooting that injured two men Friday afternoon.

It happened at 12:30 P.M. in the 300 block of King Street. When police arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was shot in the lower leg and his injuries are said to be non-life-threatening. The second male victim was shot in the torso and is in serious condition.

The suspect was driving a dark-colored Ford. No other information or description has been made available.

Police are interviewing witnesses, and it has not been determined if the shooting happened inside or outside the residence. A motive has not yet been determined or released. Monroe Police ask anyone with any information to call 318-329-2600 or Crimestoppers at 318-388-2274.
