Two arrests made in Campti Town Hall burglary

Posted: Updated:

CAMPTI, La. (AP) - Two men have been arrested for stealing cash and checks from Campti's town hall.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones says 32-year-old Latasha Autonique Paul of Campti faces burglary charges, while 33-year-old Jonathan Culbert of Natchitoches faces burglary and forgery charges.

It's not clear if either man has a lawyer.

Someone stole more than $1,100 in cash and nearly $360 in checks from Campti town hall on Nov. 6. Detectives believe the thief hid in a room, stealing the items after a secretary left for lunch.
