COLUMBIA, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A gun was pulled out in the parking lot of a Caldwell Parish grocery store in order to stop a breaking and entering suspect.

According to the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office, Christopher Lodgen broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Thornton, through a broken window on a door. Thornton left the home and called the sheriff's office asking deputies to meet her at Howard's Grocery.

Lodgen followed Thornton to the grocery store, where Shane Willhite pulled out a glock and pointed it at Lodgen in the parking lot.

When deputies arrived, Willhite put down the gun, and Christopher Lodgen was arrested and charged with the unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
